• The Mac-Forums Community Guidelines (linked at the top of every forum) are very clear, we respect US law and court precedence when it comes to legality of activity.

    Therefore to clarify:
    • You may not discuss breaking DVD or BluRay encryption, copying, or "ripping" commercial, copy-protected DVDs.
    • This includes DVDs or BluRays you own. Even if you own the DVD or BluRay, it is still technically illegal under the DMCA to break the encryption. While some may argue otherwise, until the law is rewritten or the US Supreme Court strikes it down, we will adhere to the current intent of the law.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying unprotected movies or homemade DVDs.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying tools in the context that they are used for legal purposes as outlined in this post.

I have a fairly old Power Mac, the last generation of G4 right before the G5 came out. I am trying to install Final Cut Pro 6 because my assistant editor uses it and I need to upgrade to use the files she's given me. Otherwise I would be fine with FCP 5. My computer seems to have all the system requirements to use FCP 6 except when I try to open Final Cut it tells me that my graphics card does not support the OpenGL features recommended. I was thinking of buying a new graphics card (I can't afford a new computer) but a technician I was talking to said its unlikely I would find a new card that could work with my computer. He suggested that there MIGHT be some drivers that could upgrade my graphics card to support OpenGL.
Does anyone know if those drivers exist and where I could find them. My card is an ATI Radeon 9000 Pro chipset ATY RV250.

Has the card got enough memory to support FCP

People in this Creative Cow thread suggest getting the ATI Radeon 9800 will fix your problem. I think you may need to consider what OS version you are running.
