first post here. seems like a great place.

anyway, ive got this G4 that has been working perfectly for however long ive had it. ive since upgraded to a mac pro and im planning on using the G4 for some apps i need for my screen printing business. there are a ton of apps on it that are going to be uninstalled, but now i cant even boot it up.

this is the image i get when trying:

my apologies for the poor image... taken on my iphone. the question mark on the disk was flashing.

basically this just started today. it was working fine last night, but it did get shut down.

is anyone familiar with this?

any help is appreciated!

Looks like your hard drive may have died. Try hooking your Mac Pro to the G4 via Target Disk Mode to see if you can read anything at all on the drive. If you can, you may be able to copy the data from it to the Mac Pro drive.

Click the link I set for you to learn how to use Target Disk Mode.

Regards.
