Macbook pro going to sleep or shut down randomly?

Hey, I have an early 2008 macbook pro, never really had any trouble until about 2 weeks ago. All of a sudden it randomly either goes to sleep or shuts down. Just beforehand I can usually hear the fans rev up. I could be wrong but it seems to happen when using safari (which has glims installed).
Also I upgraded the ram a couple of months ago.

Any ideas how to sort this?
