I just had Norton tell me that it has quarantined a trojan on my computer. I don't know if I need the file or if I should just go ahead and delete the file. It was a file that was in my library/Caches/Java/caches...etc. Is this a file that I need to try and restore or will I be able to live without it? Sorry if this seems to be a stupid question, but it is bugging me. Thanks for any help.

G'day and welcome to the forums.

Step one Brady is uninstall NAV as there are no Mac OS X virii! Make sure you use or download the uninstaller as NAV is difficult to remove and simply dragging to trash will not work.

All Nortons will do is download Windows virus definitions, bloat and slow your Mac and of course request you pay the annual fee for this! Do a search of the forums for further responses. Best protection for your Mac is safe browsing practices, no pirate downloads, no porn and no agreeing to install codecs.
