Hi, sorry if this question is a repeat, but I ran a search and did not find the answer. I imported some photos from my backup system onto my mac. I then opened iphoto and imported them into iphoto. Now I have two copies of every photo. (I think) My question is can I delete the picture folders I first imported? In other words, are the photos in the iphoto library actual photos or scaled down copies?

actual copies...you can erase the original folders you imported from
