I'm traveling to China for two days to sell some construction equipment but is there any restriction all bringing in a laptop and cell phone to China?

If I can will I need a different power supply?

I don't know of any specific rules so I can't say for sure. But given that a VERY large proportion of international business travelers carry both a laptop & a cell phone (very common & familiar pieces of electronic equipment) I would think that you should be fine.:)

Now if you were to start carrying some "unfamiliar" pieces of electronic equipment that Chinese customs or security officials might not be familiar with...then you might have a higher risk of issues. Remember that electronic devices are very very popular & common in China just like the rest of the world...so it's really not a big deal.
