Hello,

I am planning to purchase an Apple Notebook. I have identified two that i could possibly buy noticeably the normal white MacBook and the Silver metal MacBook Pro (the same size version).

Which one should i go for? I'm searching for opinions.

I personally like the chassis of the White MacBook because its plastic and feels smooth and personally i like white better.

However, the Pro looks like a better option in terms of power/specs etc.. Also, its a metal silver chasing so it won't get dirty easily as would for the white macbook.

Do both of them have the bootcamp feature?
When will the white MacBook get dis-continued in production?
WHat's the next generation of MacBooks?

Thanks in advance

All intel macs can run bootcamp

I would go with your gut feeling and buy the white Macbook. I have one and I love it

- Do both of them have the bootcamp feature?
Yes, both of them can be used as a regular boring PC. :)

- When will the white MacBook get dis-continued in production?
No one knows, only Apple knows and they are not telling us about it.

They have recently been updated with core i5 and core i7. The plastic macbook still have core 2 duo though, but with a bump in clock speed and new graphics.

For my money and the specs, I went with the white Macbook. It has stayed quite clean. I've had it since December and still am very pleased with it. (switched from a XP Netbook)

The 13-inch MacBook Pros are also core 2 duo.
