I am sure there are others besides me fed up with computer related equipment that is high gloss black and the constant cleaning ,what were
the mfg's thinking sure it looks great for five minutes then smudges and dust
attract to it like a magnet. Think I will set this year out before I get a new
all in one printer.

I know exactly what you mean. Our work is all Dell, recently we've been upgrading a few older notebooks. The new ones are gloss black in and out, just ridiculous.

They look junk within 5 mins without touching them, also the surface scratches dead easy so its just a downward spiral...

I was at Office Depot and saw the new HP all in ones they were very nice with touch interface but the lid and front had finger prints and smudges on it so bad it looked like
it needed to be in the discount bin not the newest technology isle.

My wife just got an LG Cosmos (a basic phone, with a QWERY keyboard) and it has a shiny black case. Within minutes of using it, it's covered in finger prints and smudges. I can't stand touching it, it makes my OCD flair up ;)

Honestly, these things are designed to be handled by human beings that have oils on our skin. The engineers that design them must be handling them with latex gloves.
