mail signatures

how do you apply a signature in mail. i went to preferences and signatures, but it isn't adding it to my message. how do i do this?

you need to go to mail/pre/ and signature you'll see a + sign under the box click that first then type away with what you want as sig

when i am composing a new message will it be shown, or will it just be attached when i am sending it.

you can click the box to have it show up when you open page to compose message or another window should show up before you mail it. Send one to yourself as a test you'll see

Im going to start using Mail in Tiger.. maybe, and I was curious as to whether you can create multiple signatures and have one reandomly picked, like you can in Entourage?

Yeah I have no doubts about figuring Tiger out.. I've been using Mac's for a long time, it's more of whether I want to change my mail program or not :) I want more features, not less in a program when I switch, unless of course I am not using the features that I drop :)
