Philips DVD+/-RW IDE Internal - Is it Mac Compatible?

Looking to install a cheap dual layer dvd drive into my G4 MDD 1.25ghz PowerMac. Saw one of these listed on Ebay for just £10.00. Thought it might be worth a punt, as I hardly ever use the dvd drive. Does anyone know if this would be compatible. Never bought and fitted an internal dvd drive before? :[

Yes an IDE optical drive will slip straight in. You may have to remove the front clip on face in order for the doors to close properly but other than that no problems. Explore xlr8yourmac.com for how to's with photos.
