My Macbook is behaving very strangely. It has the following issues:
When connected to mains, the system will not shut down. It restarts instead. It will only shut down when running off the battery.
When the system has shut down, it will immediately switch on again when connected to mains power.
When I close the lid, the apple logo lights up and switches off intermittently.
I have tried resetting the SMC and PRAM, but this didn't help. It doesn't seem to be a battery issue either as the system will start up when connected to the mains even when the battery has been removed. Just to make sure, I have also borrowed a battery and power adaptor from work to check.
Have used Onyx to do all the usual maintenance and empty boot cache etc. Also checked the power saving settings to see if it was set to wake up/shut down automatically at any time.
Any ideas, or is this a Genius Bar moment?
