I know this is an old topic... but have any avid Kismac users had trouble with scans since upgrading to Lion? My program freezes every time I start a scan. Anyone know of a fix? I hear tell there's one out there but I haven't been able to find it or figure out what it is.

"Lion boots 64-bit by default. The drivers are currently 32-bit. You can boot 32-bit by holding down 3-2 during boot."

This didn't seem to work... Hold down 3 and 2 during boot right? Kismac still froze. What are you quoting?

Agreed with Brian and Osxx. iStumbler for just a WiFi Sniffer is great. I have used it for years. Latest version works fine in Lion.

Hi there, was just wondering if it allows you to crack a WPA2 network. THanks.

No, It's just a basic WiFi Sniffer.

Cracking other peoples WPA2 networks is not legal and a subject not allowed on the forums.
