I bent the pins on my iPod and now it no longer syncs or charges. Any recommendations on where I can get this fixed? Apple wants ~$200 which is obviously not worth it to me. I've searched online but can't find a place that will replace the part.

Think you can do the work yourself? Most iPods can be taken apart and work done on them as a DIY project. If you feel that you can do the job yourself, go to the iFixit: The free repair manual web site. Look up your model iPod and download the PDF step by step instructions for taking it apart. Also while you're there, look up the part you need replacing and order it from them.

Let us know.

Regards.
