Late 2006 Mac Mini Processor upgrade

Hey guys I just bought a Mac Mini 1.5 GHZ 512 mb ram purchased in late 2006. I know its possible to upgrade their processors, and I was wondering if an Intel Core 2 Duo E7600 3.06GH would be compatible? Thanks ;D

You have the fastest unless you are prepared to purchase an Intel machine. Here is a list of all Mini models and you will see the 1.5GHz is the last, and fastest, of the PPC (PowerPC) models:-

If you do have that first 1.5 Intel core solo chip, don't know for sure, but I'd wager the fastest chip is going to be the 1.8 mobile chip if it's not soldered to the system board. Not worth the time to even take it apart.

You are not going to put any desktop class CPU in there such as the E7600 and unlikely that any Core2Duo, even the mobile chips, will work with that board either.
