bluetooth mighty mouse no longer connecting

Hi.
I have had a bluetooth mighty mouse for several years. Today it will no longer connect w/ my laptop. I've used it for quite some time w/ this laptop so this is strange. Here's what I've tried:
1. replaced the batteries
2. clicked and moved the mouse with the new batteried
3. opened system preferences, mouse panel and tried to connect that way
this panel shows the computer can find the mouse when searching for it,
but it cannot connect to it for some reason.
I also notice there are no lights on on the bottom of the mouse. When I first turn it on, the light is green, then there is no light, not even a blinking or amber one. Hmm?

Any ideas/thoughts?

As a suggestion try giving he mouse a good clean, and sadly like their furry cousins they do die! Try this link for instructions:-

Often i found it was enough to browse from here and then it would reconnect;

Browsing from the bluetooth menu on the upper right corner of my screen did the trick. I'm back in business. Thanks.
