How do you transfer data (songs) from Windows based Itunes to Ipad?

(have searched database and it speaks of Iworks (mac based). How do you do it with Windows?)

iTunes is pretty intuitive. You can either sync songs and playlists or you can manually manage what media gets transferred. Just plug in your iPad and it's rather self explanatory.

I think the OP might've gotten mixed up.

iWorks is an MS Office Alternative. To get all your songs from your Windows PC to your iPad just download iTunes and install it. I believe it will prompt you to search for music on your Hard Drive. When it's done all your music will be in your iTunes Library.

After that is done, it's as simple as Plug n' Play. Plugin in your new shiny iPad and iTunes takes over from this point on. It will download all your songs to the iPad, along side Apps (if you've purchased any through the iTunes App Store).

Aaand Presto! your are done, you can go on Rockin' n' Rollin'

Hope that clarifies things for ya.

Cheers
