can the combo drive burn disks or is it just the super drive?

Combo can burn CDs and read CDs/DVDs... but just a superdrive can do all that plus burn DVDs...

well at least i now know that apple really did put everything into my iBook. 'cause my dad (awhile back) bought a dell and it didnt come with anything, just some unused software and thats basically it. now he says he might switch to apple.
