Can't copy .iso file to external HD.

Your Mac's Specs
13" Macbook pro 2.26ghz, 160Gb HD, Macaully leather cover.
I get an error "The operation can’t be completed because an unexpected error occurred (error code 0)." when I attempt to drag or copy/paste a file with a .so extension to two different hard drives. Any ideas? Thanks

How large is the file? Is it larger than 4GB? If so, are the two drives formatted as FAT32?
