Starcraft II cross platform multiplayer?

I've heard rumors on that Starcraft II will enable Mac and PC gamers to play together, is this true?

Yes. It's been possible from the get-go with World of Warcraft and most of Blizzard's other games, if not all of them.

At this point any Blizzard game that can be launched and connected to the Battlenet on a Mac can be played in multiplayer with PC users.
I have had no problems playing the beta on my gaming PC with opponents playing on a Mac, so I can't see this changing after the release.
