HI!

I have a HDMI Argosy media player, I formatted it on my mac and I have been using it on DOS-FAT32 for a few weeks, and I have been transferring files from my mac to the media player.

But suddenly I have been seeing this error when I try to transfer large movie files;
The Finder can’t complete the operation because some data in “Pictures” can’t be read or written.
(Error code -36)

Please help me!

FAT32 is not capable of storing files of 4GB or larger.

Try MAC OS Extended (not jornaled) as a format . My WDTV drive is formatted to that and works fine.

If I format it again as MAC OS Extended (not jornaled), won't I loose all my files?

Yes, you would. However... I'm not sure you should be formatting that player in anything else, especially not a Mac file system. Wouldn't you have to use a file system supported by that player's software?
