I'm sure you've all seen it before since it's been happening for 2+ years to macs but does anyone have a fix for flash freezing my mac? I did a system update, now i really cant load any flash sites. ive search all over the net without a fix and it seems like neither apple nor adobe have any suggestions.

im running on 10.5.8 with foxfire 3.5.9 (crashes safari, chrome, opera, too.)

We also know first hand that Flash is the number one reason Macs crash.
Thoughts on Flash

I just had to say it :).

But seriously, make sure you have the latest versions of Perian and Adobe flash player. Also upgrading firefox to 3.6.3 might help also.

alright so i've got the latest Firefox 3.6.3 and Flash player 10.0.45.2 installed and the youtube homepage seems to be working (espn and youtube are the gold standard for crashing my computer) but espn still freezes. i installed perian, is there anything in particular i need to do, like set it as the default player?

You should go through your plug-ins folders and make sure you don't have duplicates of Flash Player in there. Someone else here recently had Flash issues and it turns out there were a couple Flash plugins from different versions causing his issues.
