Hey all,
I have (well, had ) my late-2008 MBP triple booted with 10.6, win7, and crunchbang linux. The linux partitions was only 8GB so I thought I could back it up using the disk utility in OS X. Apparently disk utility will compress and encode an Ext3 partition without complaint, but when I tried to restore one of the images to the partition it gave me an error to the affect of it not being able to verify the image because it doesn't recognize the filesystem...
Is there a work-around that I'm missing? This is driving me up a wall!
