Good apps for an idle iPad?

I'm looking for an app that looks nice when you're not using it. Like a news/data stream, screensaver, virtual pet, etc. When the weather's rainy, for example, sometimes I'll put on Weatherbug

nice little app by Canon with a picture a day for the last 100 days and can be set to slideshow.
