Speck case for Macbook Pro

1) Yes it will somewhat scratch it but no more than not having some sort of cover/protection at all for your MBP.
2) I got the red cover.... looks Dope!

I have the black satin speck case. I have yet to get any scratches on my aluminum case.

I bought a Speck case after I got my first scratch on my MBP, and have yet to take it off, so I can't report on scratches. There are minor (minor minor minor) heat issues, but it still stays under 180º. I think a couple of scratches from case clips is much better than a beat up and scratched unibody.

I have the Satin case. I have noticed dust - so I have to clean underneath every now and then (but Speck tells you that up front) - but the aluminum on the outside doesn't have scratches I can see. No heat problems either. I usually run 60-80 degrees C with a mid june 2009 17"
