Question About iWork - Pages

Is there anyway to change a setting so that when I open a pre-made pages template the language is English? All of my templates come in some unknown language.

If I'm correct what you are referring to are the text place holders that the pre-made templates have. Does it start like this, Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet?
If it does, it's called Lorem Ipsum and it is a dummy text used by print setters since the 1500's.
It can't be changed to another language, and besides the whole point of it even being there is that you replace it with your own text.
