• The Mac-Forums Community Guidelines (linked at the top of every forum) are very clear, we respect US law and court precedence when it comes to legality of activity.

    Therefore to clarify:
    • You may not discuss breaking DVD or BluRay encryption, copying, or "ripping" commercial, copy-protected DVDs.
    • This includes DVDs or BluRays you own. Even if you own the DVD or BluRay, it is still technically illegal under the DMCA to break the encryption. While some may argue otherwise, until the law is rewritten or the US Supreme Court strikes it down, we will adhere to the current intent of the law.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying unprotected movies or homemade DVDs.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying tools in the context that they are used for legal purposes as outlined in this post.

Hello.

Today was the first day I set up dual monitors with my mac
They both work fine. When though I set View>External Video my second display and I play the footage I've edited,
it only shows the frame when I stop playing the clip(on the timeline), it doesn't play the clip but only shows a frame of it when I stop it.
I've tried all settings and searched forums but didn't find a solution.
I even re-istalled Final Cut Studio 3 and updated it to it's latest possible version (on 10.5.7).

Whenever I set it back to the 1 monitor preset, it does play.

Does anyone know a solution to this?
I read threads from 2006 with no solution but everything has changed since.

Specs :
Intel Q9300 2.5Ghz | 6GB DDR3 RAM | ATi 3870 1GB

Monitors :
Dell Ultrasharp 27" | EIZO Flexscan S2410W 24"

Here's the problem -

You're working on a hackintosh. Right there is something forbidden in discussions here. As your problem may be directly tied to that, it will be very hard, if not impossible to offer any support on the topic.
