Hi all:

I have a MacBook (regular type) and my ability to open a window (like the kind to search my documents, applications, etc.) is broken.

Usually I'd Command F and it'd open. Now nothing. Even when I open it manually, the Command W won't close the dialog/window box -- I'll have to use the mouse instead.

And more importantly: I can't change the name of any documents or search in the dialog box.

Any ideas?

Have you installed any new software lately? Add ons, especially those which are designed to enhance the Finder can sometimes cause unpredictable things to happen.

Regards.
