How can I make a link with an icon to a specific webpage on my iMac and MacBook? I want the link to start up Firefox, then go right to the web address.

I would prefer the icon to be on the desktop rather than in the dock, but if the dock is the only option, so be it.

In advance, thanks.

1st set Firefox as your Default Web Browser in Safari Preferences

Open up FF, navigate to the page you want, highlight the url in the address bar and drag it to the desktop.

THere should be a small icon immediately to the left of the address bar.

Drag that to the desktop and it will create a weblink. That should open up in firefox if that is your default browser
