The combination of Stanza and Calibre is a major part of why I bought the iPad. But it is fairly easy to move books into the iBook Library and they look so much better than in the current (non HD) version of Stanza.

Until they upgrade Stanza iBooks is my new official favorite. ;D

I use iBooks, Kindle app, Goodreader, eReader and Kobo on my iPad. They are all great, and give me options a dedicated reader never could. Stanza was my fav on the iPhone, but now.....l don't even have it installed on my iPad.....

care to share how?!
I haven't tried this with PDFs, but to get books into iBooks you can do it three ways: 1) through the iBookstore; 2) dragging and dropping on the iTunes icon in the dock; or 3) dragging to the books folder (left column in iTunes next to APPs).
PDFs can be converted to pub using Calibre (free download).

I used Calibre (you can also use stanza on your pc or mac) to convert the PDF's to epub files. From there I just dragged them into iTunes... fixed the titles and authors and im good to go. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE my iPad! I was up until 2am playin with it and had to be at work at 8:30.
