Final Cut Pro 6 installation

Hi, guys. so, i used to have FCP 7 on my mac, but i deleted it because i was able to get Final Cut Studio 2, which has FCP 6 on it.

but now when i try to install it, it skips the installation for FCP and Compressor because it says i have a Newer Version already installed, regardless of the fact that they're no longer on my system.

is there a way to fix this?

any help is much, much appreciated.

this happened to me on my quiktime. i kept on download quicktime 7.6 and it said i had a newer version. what i suggest it look for a full version. i kept on download the quicktime update so it wouldn't install it. i hope this helps. i had the same problem but i fixed it.
