Aaand Poof goes LaLa!

Lala - Where music plays is one of the most awesome things on the web, when Apple bought it I was psyched at the prospect of having LaLa streaming directly to my iPod Touch and eventually the iPad when I get one.

Unfortunately I got an email from LaLa today saying they are going to pack up and go away for good on May 31st.

I've never used this site, but it reminded me of when FABChannel went down. That was the best site for high-quality, streaming live concerts.

I hear ya. LaLa was pretty awesome and with no Legal issues.

One alternative is GrooveShark which is fairly good but it seems like its in the Legal Gray Area.

The other best alternative is Spotify. THough not available outside Europe. The best part about Spotify (besides the music of course) is that part of the team is the 4 of the winning 24 Hour World Programming Championship.
