Hi,

I downloaded 2 or 3 albums via torrents (and several dozen CDs off my mate) and as I tried to sync my iPod Touch 32GB it crashed and is showing the error code 1601 when trying to restore it. My question is, have my music torrents done this?

I'm dropping my touch off at apple on Friday, hoping they can replace it.. should I delete my torrents or is it nothing to do with this?

Also, I am on a 3rd Gen touch, with no jailbreak.
Thanks :)

+1 :(

Torrents are bad bad things, you can get a lot of crap through torrents,

Your best bet is to wipe the ipod clean, then if that fails, take it in, but here's some more advice, don't use torrents!

Thanks, I won't anymore. I scanned my computer so there are no viruses at all so maybe it's not down to torrents, but it is still worrying :\
