Hi all

Hoping some-one can help.

I have various cd's that I want to load onto my ipod but my 2 year old imac has started to spit the cd's out. The drive still appears to work and will burn and play DVD's still.

Is there anything I can do or does this mean I need a new drive?:Grimmace:

Many thanks

I can't imagine that your drive has a problem with CDs, but not DVDs. Exactly what are these CDs? Music CDs from a store, burned copies, data CDs, etc etc?

The CD's I'm trying to use are all store bought audio cd's. I originally thought it was because the audio cd's were old but I've tried it with a brand new cd and it did the same. I agree, it's strange that the drive will read DVD's.

Thanks
