Hello Guys,

I need to buy a new notebook and need your advise to decide about macbook pro. I'm very familiar with UNIX/LINUX, so well aware of security/virus aspects of Mac OS.

Honestly only thing preventing me to buy another Macbook is not being able to run Excel VBA code on Microsoft office 2008. I read on wiki that Microsoft has disabled the support for it.

I work as a java developer in an investment bank with traders and these users prefer to use Excel a lot.

I installed Microsoft office 2008 on my Macbook ( Running Leopard.).
When I opened a spreadsheet with macros, it simply did not run any of the VBA code.

This is so frustrating that I'm forced to run Windows( Natively or parallel) just to be able to run VBA code on Excel.

Has anyone got better ideas to overcome this problem?

Regards,
Rohit
