Hi there
I just bought and downloaded, the newest version of VM Fusion for my Intel based Mac Book Pro (3 years old) that is running Leopard.

I installed it, and am now trying to install Microsoft XP Professional.

Upon doing so it reads on a black screen:
CDBOOT: Couldn't find NTLDR

So what now? And if you try to make a new virtual machine, does it automatically try to grab another 40 FB? Could the error message be based on the disc I used, if it is meant for distribution with a new PC?

Any help is greatly appreciated!

It sounds to me like the disc you have isn't bootable or it's a recovery disc. You'll need a fully bootable windows disc for it to work correctly
