Ipod Touch 64gb Water Damage

So After I Went Jogging With My Ipod Touch and Was In The Shower. I Left My Ipod Touch In My Sweater Pocket which was zipped upped because im always scared it might fall out while im running. My GF decides to do my laundry and threw my sweater in there. Of Course I Didn't Notice Till after i was out of the shower and it had been in there for a good (20-30 mins). Anyways I Checked The Water Indicator and It Still Is White, I Still Have Warranty on It, But it's JailBroken. I Haven't tried turning it on yet and currently am doing the Rice Bag Thing. My Question is after all of this and it doesnt turn on could i take it to the apple store and try to get a new one? And What Do i Do About it being jailbroken? If they cant turn it on im sure they wouldnt know but im worried about when they send it out or if they get it fixed would they check then?

Do the rice thing as well as leaving it for Days to completely dry out. I would be surprised if  replace it for you with water damage.
Just be patient in turning it on. Give it as long as possible BC there was a member that had dropped it in a puddle completely submerged and they WAITED and it worked for them. Then going through the Washing Machine is a different story.
Worry about the jail break later, as if it wont turn on they wont know as you stated.

You already knew the warranty was voided when you jailbroke it.

So true bob and how many of late have asked similar questions ...

I ditto all you said but i was trying not to be harsh on the new member lol ;P

I really have no problems with paying for it to get fixed from apple if need be. I Just want to know if i do get it fixed though do you think they will say anything if it is jailbroken?
