2 years ago I sent my macbook to Apple and had the hard disk replaced (just in time under warranty..) after I crashed it mixing and producing with Live 7. I then upgraded 1gb ram to 4gb ram, hoping that this would never be an issue again..
I'm now running Live 8, occasionally crashing as I max out project potential.
Today someone told me I should get an external motherboard to process all of the audio on my computer. I also use Ableton to DJ/perform, and cannot risk a crash in the middle of a set.
Does anyone have some information on how much these cost, what I need, and how to connect it?
