Hi, I have a new MacBook Pro and external hard drive. I want the External drive to be a bootable copy of my internal drive. In other words, if I crash, I want to be able to run from the external drive. I want to do a full backup to the external drive, and I am not concerned with file revisions being copied.

What software would you recommend?

Thanks!

+1 for either of those programs. Both are flexible and can easily produce bootable clones. A bootable clone can also be produced by choosing the "restore" option in Disk Utility. It is not as flexible as the other programs though.
