I'm going to be purchasing a mac soon, a g4 cube to be exact. I've used macs before and work with my customers who use them on a regular basis. I saw a g4 cube with all the bare essentials (20 gig HD, 64 megs of ram, etc etc) for a little over 200. My main upgrade concerns are HD and ram. Im not sure if regular SDRAM will work on a cube, I do know it is upgradeable to 1.5 gig and ofcourse endless possibilities on the hard drive, basically what I would like to know is if standard pc 133 sdram will work just fine in the mac and if IDE drives are the hard drive type of choice for the mac.
