Does anyone ever own a Mac (desktop or notebook) which require zero repair in its entire three years warranty coverage? :Not-Amused:

I will bite. iMac G5 iSight 2.1 Ghz. 4.5 years old, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and I use it HARD and for everything. Only issue, Aftermarket RAM from FRY's failed. It was the RAM's fault. 1/2 the people on New Egg with the same brand/stick of RAM had the same issues in PC's. Otherwise not one issue.

iBook G4 12" 1.33Ghz. Also 4.5 years old. Take it with me all the time. Never ONE issue.

Intel 1.66Ghz First Generation Mini. 4+ years old. Convert videos with it daily and edit video and audio. Upgraded it to a C2d 2.16Ghz CPU. NEVER ONE ISSUE.

I had a 2007 Macbook, only issue I had was that the battery died.

15" MBP '06 2.33 C2D 4GB 10.7; 13" MBA '14 1.8 i7 8GB 10.11; 21" iMac '13 2.9 i5 8GB 10.11; 6S
2006 MBP 2.33 Ghz 256 MB 4 GB 42 months - this one has been used and abused - replaced battery once, no different than replacing the battery or brakes on a car

2007 MB 2.0 Ghz GMA 950 2 GB 36 months - not used as hard, but I'd guess 4 hrs a day avg - original battery that stays plugged into the mains 98% of the time and has been sitting at 105% of original capacity for the past year and lasts for 4 hrs when I borrow it from the wife - has been calibrated 1 time

Neither one of them are ever shut down except as required by updates. Software issues on the MBP, but I'll try some stuff that I'm pretty sure won't work before I start. Haven't heard a single peep out of the wife on her MB, unlike the every 3-6 month time frame of her win machines slowing to a crawl with all the spyware/malware she had managed to find and the inevitable once a year clean install I had to do because it was just easier than cleaning by that time.

Aside from just wanting a new machine, neither one of them have ever acted in such a way that has made me think about the need of a new machine while using them. Something I can say about only 1 of the other 40-50 computers that have been a part of my home collection over the last 29 years.

G4 iMac 17" 800Mhz. Sold to a friend, still going strong, never needed a thing repaired.
It was one of the first made too, certainly the first in the UK.
That makes it 6 Years and 9 Months old.
My Powerbook G4 is also still going strong. That must be 4 years old.

Bought MacBook Pro Feb 2007. Travels all over the world with me and at the beach. Replaced battery in Dec. 2009. Even the Apple store tech guy was surprised it lasted this long. Other than this, prefect! :D

Mac Pro Octo 2.8Ghz / Macbook Pro 2.4Ghz
2003 Powerbook Titanium, gave it to a mate and it's STILL working perfectly.
Had a G4 993 desktop that never once went wrong ... followed by ....
G5 dual 2.0 gig - ran it hard for over 3 years and no problems
Quad intel 2.66 from 2007 - just upgraded and sold it on, not a single problem
apart from a "squealing" graphics card fan - just needed a clean up.

I look after them mind you, never drop 'em never abuse them and reinstall
everything after 18 months, often with a brand new system drive ... why not
for a measly £50.
