I lost my magic mouse in a move to Florida and ordered a new one from Apple. I can't get the new one to recognize my computer and move the cursor. I can't open Bluetooth manager or any other program since the cursor can't be moved. I called Apple support and they told me to put in fresh batteries which didn't help the situation at all. Does anyone know what I can do to fix this problem? Any helpful suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Can't you use the keyboard to open Bluetooth manager? Or borrow a USB mouse?

CMD + spacebar will acess spotlight, type system, use the cursor key to highlight System Preferences and press enter.

In System preferences Tab to Bluetooth and press the spacebar

Tab to the + sysmbol and press the spacebar. This will open the Bluetooth setup assitant where you can detect the mouse.
