Nameless folder gets created in the root (/) directory

If I delete it or rename it, it appears again. It contains:

marulo:Cookies souto$ pwd
/*/Users/souto/Library/Cookies

As you can see, the folder containing Users has no name.

After previewing my post, it turns out that what I see and what I pasted and posted is (apparently)

//Users/souto/Library/Cookies

After sending is when you can see the *

If I run an "ls" command in / in the Terminal, it appears as ?

Do you know what is this being caused by? How can I remove it?
