My iTunes won't stop playing music

I have restarted my computer and force quit iTunes several times, but every time I start up iTunes again, the music starts playing. Help!

did you hit the pause button or hit spacebar while in itunes to pause it ?

What kind of computer do you have? Did you spill liquid on your keyboard? Possible that the play/pause hotkey is sticking?
