Is there a way to get a powerbook to play back audio that comes from the line-in jack? Basically, I'm away from home right now and don't have my iPod firewire cable with me, but i do have a male-to-male 1/8" cable with me that I'm trying to use to listen to my iPod through the Powerbook speakers.
I've checked the Sound preferences, and Line In is selected as the incomin. The level meter moves around, a pretty good indication that . Also, if I open Garageband, create a track, and turn the line-in monitor on, my iPod playback goes through the speakers.
But is there a way to just have line-in playback through the OS and not through an external app?
