Mail wont open, keep importing e mail forever...

My Mail wont work, when I open it it just it ask me if i wanto to import e mails and I click yes, than it start importing and keeps like that forever....I waitted for almost 2 days it did not work....I already tried fixing the permissions and restarting....it also did not work, i appreciatte some help, thanks
