Running Mac OS X 10.6.3 on 2.66 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 4Gb RAM.
I acquired CS3 Extended as a ownership transfer last summer. It's a great program. Now that CS5 is coming soon I'm considering just upgrading to PS CS5 ($199) & not paying extra $150 for the PS CS5 Extended version ($349). I've read about the differences (image editing software, image editing program | Adobe) but the jest I gather is to fully use these benefits you'd need After Effects, Illustrator, etc which I don't have nor do I intend to purchase in the future.
So, my question is, is the Extended version worth the extra cash &, if so, why?
