Ejecting my eReader

iMac 27" 3.4 GHz i7, AMD Radeon HD 6970M 2048 MB, 8 GB Ram running Mac OS X Lion 10.7
Hi,
When I try to eject my Elonex ebook 600eb it just reconnects straight a way.
I have tried a different usb port and a different cable.
I can also do a safe remove on it with it plugged into a Windows PC.

Is there a way around this please?

Does this happen with other devices like a USB drive? If not then you need to contact Elonex and find out what is going on.

No it only does it on the ereader.
