MacMail Prob!
MacMail can not delete.
upon attempt window displays >
The operation couldn’t be completed. File exists …

so I ran Disk utility
and permissions appeared pretty
aside from the standard stuff
We are told to 'not worry about'
i.e. CoreServices/RemoteYadaYadaYada.

but this also popped up and I'm wondering
what is "usr/share/derby"?

could that have something to do
with MacMail inability to delete?

Any Help is greatly appreciated.
did I mention: "HELP"?!?!

Did you repair permissions yet?
Is there an attachment to the e-mail you're trying to delete? Is the problem with deleting ANY e-mail or just one specific e-mail?

MacMail Prob ~ fixed. TYall

permissions repaired hence the "usr/share/derby".
& it would delete nothing.

but alas,
I think I fixed it.
closed Mail ~
renamed Envelope Index.
~ opened Mail
and voila.
so far so good.

but I thank you for the response.

Back to my old 2.2GHz C2D MB after selling my MBP and wondering what my next Mac will be :)
Permissions differ on "usr/share/derby", should be drwxr-xr-x , they are lrwxr-xr-x
is another one of those safe to ignore messages :)
