download problem

Just purchased used mac g4 power book. Will not accept large file downloads(70MB) but will download smaller files(70Kb). Solution?

G'day and welcome to the forums.

Need a little more information. What PowerBook, operating system. HDD size and amount of free space you have available. Have you run Repair Disk when booted from the install DVD, assuming the disc did come with the machine, is there any download manager software installed etc.

not a mac expert. plenty of hdd space.did a download mgr, no dics with ebay purchase

Very confusing response did a download manager means?

Buy Tiger or Leopard full retail install discs, format the hard drive and do a clean install of the operating system.
