I've been thinking of doing something extreme with my Macs. I was debating on selling my imac G5 20" 2.0ghz and my 12" powerbook and just getting a single 15" or 17" powerbook. Would this be smart or do you guys think I should just keep what I have???

I would keep both of the system you have now. For me I could be using both at the same time. And if one of your systems failed, you have a back up while the other is being repaired.

Good point, thanks! One other question, can I hook my powerbook to my iMac so that the screens show the same thing?

From what I have read here, no you can not use either the iMac of the powerbook as an external monitor.

I would personally keep both... I have a 17" PB and a 20" iMac.... my only complaint is that the 17" is too big now that I have the iMac for the power hungry stuf... I've actually been thinking about getting a 12" PB to replace the 17".

Not as another monitor, no you can not do this. But it is possible that you can see the same thing on both monitors and beable to change controll what is on the screen from either computer, Do this using VNC. www.realvnc.com

Thanks for the info, but it says it currently only works with a windows platform. Is it compatible with OSX?
